Stanwood City is NOT a good bedroom community

Am I the only person out here who is irritated by the noise in our community. I live just above town and I wish I had never bought this house back in 2006. Unknowingly to me, the motocycles on Pioneer Hwy, especially on a sunny weekend day, for the most part, are absolutely intollerable. If auto manufactures were allowed to install exhaust systems like you find on most motorcycles, NO ONE would be able to tolerate it. So the question becomes, why does the DOT allow this abuse.
The next huge concern I have, is abusive "train" noise. These trains run all hours of the day and again, for the most part, blowing their horns is absolutely necessary; however, I know they abuse this privilige by blowing their horns several times at several different approach points. Upon approaching a crossing, obviously, they need to alert that they are approaching the crossing; however, this should be done twice, unless they visually see someone at the crossing that might risk crossing. Especially when there are crossing blockades with flashing lights to alert anyone that there is a train approaching.
It reminds me of days when kids would jesture with their arms to trucks, to blow their air horns.
If and when I decide to sell this home, the noise will definitely be a disadvantage to selling it.
